Stellar Oriental Salad Dressing
Here is a two for one, as I love salad dressings and I adore Asian food, combining two of my passions in one single recipe. What’s more, I have a fondness for the nutty flavor of toasted sesame oil, which I pair here with the tangy zing of lime juice, the pungent kick of garlic and ginger, and the sweet, savory notes of teriyaki sauce to top it off. Although this recipe has a list of 10 ingredients, don’t not be daunted. This dressing comes together in a fast 10 minutes. Plus, I’ll use this dressing as a base for my soon to be posted oriental salad recipes. So, stay tuned!
Ingredients
- 2 T. toasted sesame oil
- 6 T. canola oil
- 2 T. rice vinegar
- 1 ½ T. low-sodium soy sauce
- 2 T. teriyaki sauce, like Soy Vay’s® Island
- 1 ½ t Grey Poupon Country Dijon
- 1 t. lime juice
- 1 t. minced garlic
- ½ t. minced ginger
- 1/8 t. red pepper flakes
Directions
- Step 1 Start off by mincing both the garlic and ginger, tossing them into the basin of a blender unit, which isn’t powered up yet. Next, measure out and pour in the basin the sesame oil, canola oil, vinegar, soy sauce, and teriyaki sauce. Then, squeeze out the lime juice and spoon out the mustard into the basin, after which, you can add the red pepper flakes.
- Step 2 Now, you can turn on your blender and blend all of the salad ingredients. And that’s it! Note: the dressing will keep up to 1 week stored in an air-tight container in the refrigerator. Enjoy!
My Stellar Oriental Salad Dressing is a must-try for anyone who loves the taste sensations of Asian cuisine but has little time on their hands. With the robust mix of sesame oil, lime juice, and teriyaki sauce, it’s unthinkable it takes 10 minutes to make.
