When visitors leave comments on this site, we collect the data shown in the comments form, and visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

This blog also employs the plugin Akismet to filter spam from comments, trackbacks, and contact form messages. The information we collect depends on how the User sets up Akismet for the Site, but what is typicaly collected and processed through Akismet is: the commenter’s IP address, user agent, referrer, site URl, as well as the information directly provided by the commenter such as their name, username, email address, and the comment itself.

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

How we manage data collected via our email newsletter

Name and email addresses that are transmitted and collected via the Cuisine by Kristina Email Newsletter Signup for the purpose of registering for the blog’s email newsletter are first gathered and added to the email distribution list by Mailchimp, a third-party automation and email delivery service. Then, Mailchimp is used to send out notification emails to the distribution list when new posts are published on the Cuisine by Kristina blog. Name and email addresses are kept confidential and are not shared with any third party, only for the purpose of automation, notification, and delivery of emails in conjunction with new posts on the Cuisine by Kristina blog. Any data transmitted by Mailchimp is done so in compliance with their Privacy Policy and Terms of Use.
